our beliefs and approach

We understand that choosing the right nursery for your child is an important decision.

Our nurseries provide an educationally stimulating and nurturing environment where children are valued and cared for as individuals and they are able to express themselves comfortably.

We encourage children to become independent and confident through hands on experiences and work in close partnership with parents and carers to ensure that each child’s journey with us prepares them with the skills they need for life.

“children should be taught how to think not what to think”

parent’s involvement

Parents are encouraged to become as involved as possible in nursery life, and there is a lot for you to be involved in…

Drop Offs and Handovers

We pride ourselves on having excellent relationships with our parents. Our handovers provide an insight into your child’s day, detailing eating, sleeping, activities, developmental progress and emotional well-being. They also provide an opportunity for you to update us on events at home.

Children’s Progress

We hold two parent sharing days and various open evenings throughout the year where you will have an opportunity to discuss your child’s development and progress at nursery with his/her key carer and provide feedback on your experiences. Your child’s Learning Journal is available online to access at anytime, share with the rest of the family and maybe add your own photos and comments as appropriate.

Sharing of skills

We are always grateful to our parent volunteers who share their knowledge and skills with children. In the past this has included cooking workshops, foreign dance and music performances, bringing in pets and even dressing up as Santa when needed! Please do let us know if you would like to share your special skills.

feedback is essential!

A large part of our self-assessment practises is built on the feedback parents give us. We have an open door policy and are always on hand to discuss any worries or concerns, as small as they may seem. We send out annual questionnaires which provide us with your views on everything from the nursery meals, the performance of our staff, as well as your child’s education and experiences. We use this information to assess whether we are reaching our goals and set new ones for the year ahead.
